Thinking you want to live in paradise? Hawaiian Paradise Park in Kea‘au is East Hawai‘i’s Premier subdivision, and with just over 8800 lots it is also one of the largest.  Large 1 acre lots run from densely wooded to fairly open and range in price from the low 30’s to upper 60’s.  Oceanfront lots and Oceanview lots range a little higher. Housing is also very diverse. From tiny homes to oceanfront mansions, Hawaiian Paradise Park has it all. Home prices range from the mid 100’s for a nice fixer upper, to the 200-400’s for around 1800 sq ft or so and up to 1 million for larger estates. Some people have combined adjacent lots and created a larger homestead. Hawaiian Paradise Park (HPP) is a vibrant and diverse community with people from all over the world choosing to make it their home.

Most homes are owner occupied with some long term rentals also available.  There are some vacation rentals for shorter term stays throughout the park and are a good way to get a feel for the place before you buy – especially if you are coming from the mainland.

Story

Talking “story” is an important cultural process that must take place before any business transaction happens. It is important to get to know the person you are dealing with and talking story is the way we do it. It is a way we share our selves with one another. You will always find someone wanting to ‘talk story’ with you here!

In 2013 my partner and I came to Hawai‘i on a business trip and fell in love with the people and the land of the Big Island, specifically the Hawai‘i district. Spanning an area larger than O‘ahu, Puna contains some of the most stunning and diverse land in Hawai‘i. From the lava plains in Volcano National Park to the rain forests of upper Puna and the coastline along the famed Red Road. We toured the entire Island, but our hearts kept being drawn back to the Puna district. In 2015 we purchased our home in Hawaiian Paradise Park and went back to the mainland to get ready to move.We landed here permanently at the end of 2017. We continue to be amazed and feel privileged to live in this magical land. Hawaiian Paradise Park, or as we locals like to call it, HPP, is a wonderful neighborhood to live in. Owners, families, singles, extended families, vacationers, and long-term renters all call Hawaiian Paradise Park home.

A Local Expert

For most people, buying or selling a home is one of the biggest decisions you’ll ever make. The housing market has changed dramatically in the last few years.

The Internet is a great place to find lots of information. But it can’t provide the in-depth local knowledge and personalized service of a local professional. The challenges of the real estate industry are getting more complex every day and you need someone that is on top of the market and is prepared to protect your interests and guide you throughout the process. I have been a REALTOR for over 16 years and as a local real estate expert I am constantly researching the market and analyzing home prices so I can serve you with the latest and most accurate information.

When looking for properties in Hawai‘i, you need the advice of a qualified and experienced Real Estate Professional. Our fabulous area has its share of quirky issues and Hilo and Puna Area Real Estate is unique. I am well-versed on how to deal with things like Permits, NonPermitted properties, lava zones, insurance, and water catchment to keep your deal on track, and keep you happy with the result. With my experience and expert knowledge of the local real estate market, whether you are in Puna, Hilo or on the mainland, I know how to help you with your unique needs and protect your best interests through every aspect of a real estate transaction. I am focused on providing you with the most personal attention and best service available.
